The Anti-Tourist Guide to Europe’s Coolest Corners
Let’s be real - travel has become a bit of a performance. Matching luggage, 7 a.m. airport selfies, itineraries so jam-packed they need their own Google Drive. It’s burnout disguised as adventure.
But what if you didn’t come home from a trip needing another holiday? What if travel was less “go, go, go” and more “holy shit, I can’t believe this is my life”?
Welcome to slow travel - the art of actually being where you are. Eating meals that last three hours. Getting lost on purpose. Talking to locals instead of following blue dots on Google Maps. And lucky for you, we’ve got just the trip for that.
Because this June, we’re heading from Basque mountains to Bordeaux vineyards - and trust me, this one’s for the travellers who like their adventures with a side of chaos, connection, and way too much good wine.
So, What’s the Vibe?
Think less “tour bus” and more “European road trip with your coolest friends.”
We’ll kick off in San Sebastián, where the surf is strong, the pintxos are perfect, and the cider pours from the ceiling (literally - you’ll see).
Then we’ll roll through La Rioja for the Batalla del Vino - the world’s wildest wine fight. Yes, you’ll get drenched in red wine. No, you won’t regret it.
After that, we’ll coast through Biarritz and Hossegor, France’s sun-drenched surf towns, before wrapping up the dream in Bordeaux wine country, sleeping in a private château surrounded by vines. It’s giving Under the Tuscan Sun, but with more surfing and fewer midlife crises.
What You Can Expect
San Sebastián (Days 1–3)
Tapas crawls, cliffside hikes, and beachy afternoons at La Zurriola. Optional surfing, mandatory sidra dinners.
Haro & La Rioja (Days 4–5)
The infamous wine fight, vineyard views, and countryside cabins for that post-chaos recovery.
Biarritz (Days 6–7)
Oyster bars, sea swims, and sunset rosé.
Hossegor (Days 8–10)
Lazy beach days, vintage markets, surf lessons, and villa hangs.
Bordeaux Wine Region (Days 11–12)
Château living, winery tours, and a five-course cooking class (if you’re feeling fancy).
Bordeaux City (Days 13–14)
Riverfront strolls, final night out, and bittersweet goodbyes.
Who This Trip Is For
This isn’t your standard “follow the flag” tour.
It’s for the free spirits, the food lovers, the surf-and-wine enthusiasts, and anyone who believes good travel is equal parts spontaneity and soul.
If your idea of a perfect day includes cliff jumping at noon, dancing in a vineyard by sunset, and sipping something French you can’t pronounce - you’ll fit right in.

Be first in line
Travel doesn’t have to be about ticking boxes.
It’s about collecting stories, not souvenirs. About slowing down long enough to notice the way the light hits the vineyards at golden hour, or the taste of that second glass (okay, third) of Rioja you swore you didn’t need.
So, if you’ve been craving connection, culture, and a little bit of beautiful chaos — this is your sign.
From Basque to Bordeaux. 14 days. Endless stories.
Let’s roam.
